…another cut off in the middle of the story.

I am struggling to decide if I will pick up the next book at this point.

There was a climax to a side plot right at the end, but it’s in the middle of the greater story arch. It’s like a 3 part episode of a TV series, only you dont. know the length of the series, and this was part two. I understand the concept of tantalizing for more, but I don’t like stories left incomplete. The plot is very interesting, and the story could have had 5 stars… if it was completed.

There was also a religious tone that started showing up at the end of this book that worries me, where an alien referred to one of the characters as a “Daughter of Eve”. There has been some minor spiritual stuff in the series, but only in a way that showed there were spiritual humans. This was the first time that it came from a vector that indicated there may be a religious leaning for the whole story, and that would be about the worst direction this could go. In my opinion.
