As soon as the badger boy started cooking, I couldn’t help but think this was an origin story for Steven Seagal in Under Siege. Then I couldn’t get it out of my mind. The world was really unique. The concept of the Kin was interesting especially with the boon system that exists. The story starts off okay but gets better the further into the book I got. The narration was very well done.
