I was worried that this book might drag as many of the other Antarctic thrillers I have read do, however I was pleasantly surprised! It jumped right in to the action and story. It is a bit “the thing” meets “28 days later”. A scientific crew based in Antarctica discovers a new microbe that gets unleashed unbeknownst to the remote group. They lose contact and have to figure out their way back to base, which is decimated. I enjoyed the book and the narration, i hope there is a book two as it has a bit of a cliffhanger. I received a free review copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
