DNF. The narrator seemed to have a head cold, very nasal sounding. Super annoying.

This book supposedly happened after the Spellweaver series where Lyre and Clio confess (to the extent an incubus could) their love for each other. In Spellweaver Lyre has a more reserved and respectful manner. In this story he is a different character all together. It’s just a bit jarring. I tried to separate the stories but I had just finished the Spellweaver series before diving into this one and just can’t.
