This is a fantastic science fiction story that draws upon the mythological Egyptian god, Anubis. The story takes place in the 21st century and involves scientists working for a powerful corporation funding research on infusing the power of Anubis into dead bodies, bringing them back to life. The technology and science is fascinating, there’s an emotional quotient that can make the reader/listener feel the pain, there’s pretty graphic violence so be forewarned. Author writes descriptive sex scenes between NOX and Lucas, but it’s part of the Anubis desire for all primitive energies and experiences and doesn’t overshadow the meat of the story.
I was hooked in the first chapter! Definitely recommend this for fellow sci-fi readers who like it when the story is spiced up by great sex scenes.
Kurt Graves narrates the story nicely, no complaints. Did well distinguishing the different character voices.
