I so throughly enjoyed this book, I intend on listening to it all over again… Alas Babylon was also a truly fantastic story. The combination of references from Alas, Babylon so carefully interwoven into this story made it one of the best books on “ after the bomb” that I have listened to yet. The characters were people that you really cared about, and story evolved into a believable story line. There were no magic unbelievable feats of rescue here. One of best stories about people and the suffering they endure after America is involved in a nuclear war. This is not a book in which everything is better after 6 months but it shows the internal struggle of a main character to accept a closure much different from the one she believed she had to have. Congratulations Ms. Druga this book was wonderful.
