I have been getting bored of books in this genre as they seem to be all the same, or are too far-fetched to be anything but entertaining. This book, however, actually scared me. Too many things that called back to mind the early days of the Covid pandemic. The author did an excellent job of taking our current position (on the cusp of a new world with emerging tech) and painted a horrifying picture of what could be if we continue on this track.
The action started right away, and the writing is superb. Adair knows how to horrify and doesn’t hold back, which I love. The narrator was fantastic, making this book seem too short!
Looking forward to more of this world Adair created.
