Reasonably enjoyable and a really good concept. I felt the narrator is just too cheerful and flippant for much of the story. I felt like I was listening to Galaxy Outlaws but with none of the silliness that works with his style.
Book 5 was a children’s plaster mold of a political stage play and it was just incredibly unbearable. I tried skimming five and mov to book six but I just lost interest after that. It just felt contrived and plastic.
I could see loving this as a 15 year old but with a few decades of experience in life the storytelling was just too cheeky and plastic for me.
Good value for one credit, but temper your expectations dramatically.
