Good series entry with annoying sound effects

Good plot progression in this series entry. It’s nice to see actual solution of early plot problems alongside the addition of new, bigger problems. Character development is proceeding at a pace that works well with the plot. We don’t see much in the way of new information about the world in this volume.

While the narration is quite good, the sound effects are obtrusive enough to make it difficult or impossible to understand the words being spoken. While that happens in only a few places, it’s enough to significantly reduce my “Performance” rating..

Overall, solid work and a very fun read.
