I had grown accustomed to Will Wight’s thrilling endings through the first 3 books in this series, and must say this one left a bit to be desired. This book definitely had its exciting moments, and the ending was awful, it just didn’t hit me as hard as the endings from the other entries had.

Lindon is a decent character and I would say I’m definitely curious to see where he goes from here, but I do get bored with him more frequently than I would like considering he’s the main character. He has likable qualities, but I don’t see the consistent growth in power or skill that I personally would like to see. As usual the character work is saved entirely by the cast of unique side characters that I love so much!

The performance was excellent as per usual as well. All in all, this was a fine entry, just not my favorite. I was not knocked out of my seat, but I still have excitement to see where the next book goes!
