The characters are the best part of this series. I loved them all dearly. And the absurdist writing style had me laughing out loud at times. That said, at about 3 hours it becomes clear that this was someone DnD campaign and for MUCH of the story, that’s all it is. Honestly the (many) battle scenes are so full of official spell slots and attacks it’s a wonder no one calls out – Nat 20! But I loved the characters so much I kept with it and I’m not sorry. Just don’t put too much hope in the “plot.”
