This is a dark fantasy which is easily the best monster MC story I have ever read. It includes torture, explicit sex, sexual assault, and pretty much anything else you can warn someone of, so be warned.
The MC of this story is a monster. It does not think like a human, nor is there ever any attempt to humanize it. That said, it is a rather epic sword and sorcery adventure. The MC is rather OP later in the series, but follows a logical weak to strong progression.
It is not for the faint of heart, but I have reread this series in full multiple times and am glad it is being released in audio format
