I absolutely adored Dean and Jonas! Lily Morton writes such wonderful stories, artfully intertwining and sprinkling in previous books that bring a smile to your face. In turn, Joel Leslie’s narration brings these wonderful characters to life in a way no one else could. Joel sucked me in from the first sentence and didn’t let go until the last! Dean and Jonas seemed to be the most opposite of opposites, but they each brought something to the other that was missing. Dean, a supermodel working for Jonas’s agency, brought out a light in Jonas that as sorely missing. Jonas brought so much to the table for Dean: unconditional love because he was Dean and not what Dean could do for him, and provided Dean with the confidence where he was shaky. I loved how Dean was able to get Jonas’s guard down, and how they slowly and wonderfully began their friendship and more. It was wonderful seeing Dean welcome Jonas’s daughter with open arms, and how well those two got on. It was great being able to visit a bit with characters past, but if you’re new to Lily’s books, this is a wonderful place to begin! I absolutely adored every moment of this audio and I was so sad to finish!
