Even Travis Baldree can’t save this crap.

I called the first 2 books “clumsy.” And this is still true. These 2 books are just inconsistent. The worst part being the end where it decides to go all grimdark and end on a “cliffhanger.” All it did was piss me off and make me not want to read anymore. The MC has never been particularly likable, but he dove right into the deep end of the shitty-person pool by the end of this one.

Also, I got sick and tired of the repeated scenes where we had to watch the same events from multiple character POVs.

Pretty sure I’m done with this series. Blegh.
