I read this series quite some time ago but I recently grabbed the audio to listen to. Amanda Stribling and Neill Thorne are wonderful as Tori and Josh.

The Landry family never fails to make me smile. They love so big and love so hard. They are unconditional love, support and ‘all in’ personified.

Josh and Tori’s meet cute and re-meet cute is all the things – fun, hilarious, romantic and a touch frantic and stressful.

Tori is such a caring soul and I just wanted to give her a big hug when she doubted herself. Josh is the ultimate cinnamon roll hero. I love how much he cares for Tori, maybe being the first person to ever really do that.

I struggled with Andrew, Tori’s best friend. Sometimes he seemed so supportive of her and other times he was trying to make her into something she wasn’t rather what he wanted her to be. Whereas Josh loved her exactly the way she is.

It’s not a Bayou book without low angst, high steam, hilarious Landry family banter, grand gestures and Elle’s wisdom. All the makings for a great time!
