I slogged through all six volumes (in the final 2 praying that I would finish SOON.) The story line is quite implausible. A group of survivors who are eeking out a living in the hills after an EMP, and they run into every manner of bad guy and natural disaster you can think of. Main character Megan should have died in the first few chapters of the first book because she made the rashest, dumbest decisions imaginable, yet somehow she rises to a leadership position in her group. Sadly, the dialog and the plot is something a teenager or young adult with very little real world experience would write. And especially when coming up with sub plots that involved military maneuvers, armory and tactics, this is woefully impossible to believe. The narration didn’t help. Andrew Tell’s propensity for perfect enunciation was way out of character with most of the personalities in the book. I recommend leaving this series on the bookshelf until you end up in the Apocalypse and have nothing better to read.
