I’m just a 40 something mom and I wanted to step out of my usual genre of historical fiction and try something new. Someone on Reddit said it was their favorite audiobook every so I figured what the heck.
I found the narrator entertaining…. but the story just wasn’t for me. A few giggles here and there at the absurdity of it, but it felt like there was no progression of the plot. Always just another battle with another boss and so on. I’m not into video games, but I’m guessing gamers might find this more enjoyable than I did. It’s not a bad book, I just think it needs it’s target audience and that is definitely not me.
