What was most disappointing about Mark Goodwin’s story?
That it’s a white, right-wing christian view point, many extremist views are shown, many lines in the Bible are re-iterated to show how separate we are in the world and therefore we must fear others and kill them at will. The situation in this book, the economic breakdown justifies the fear in a number of people, and instead of working together, are going out to shoot each other. The character asks along the way : Why does it have to be that way?; and does not understand that he himself is the problem. It’s a book of separation.

The Author believes or maybe even hopes that the catastrophic scenarios in this book will come true, since there are countless references to real web-pages of various perpper- webpages. It seems that he has taken the book: On second after and re-hashed it in an extremist way.
