A monochromatic world in which a couple of different women who own or are inheriting ranches are being stalked by murderous ex-boyfriends who covet their land, before and after the EMP. Still, it was an okay story.
One reviewer complains about anthropomorphizing dogs, but I found those sections fairly realistic based on my experiences with dogs.
