Caspian were childhood friends until they weren’t. Willow was locked away for several years because she was unstable. Now Willow and Caspian are both attending Blackthorn college. There are a lot of reasons why Willow and Caspian can’t be together. Their chemistry and feelings still burn bright though. Obviously there’s a lot going on behind the scenes here. I feel there’s a lot of treachery at play. Personally, I feel like Caspian’s dad could hold a lot of answers and making a lot of power moves. I honestly don’t know how Willow could live in this world and be controlled. It really would be enough to drive someone crazy, truly! This book ends on a big cliffhanger. I’m looking forward to getting some answers, hopefully, in book 2. Why does it seem everyone is afraid to tell Willow any version of the truth to her face, especially her supposed guardians?
