If you enjoy, listening to a teenager whine about how terrible her life is, then this book is for you. I expected the story of a middle-class girl who got the opportunity to attend a prestigious school and used it to better herself or at least make poignant, insightful observations of her new surroundings. Instead, it was a story of an ungrateful teenager who made minimal academic effort and even less effort, socially. The chapters dragged and dragged until finally in the end she graduated no better than when she started four years earlier.
