This weird alt-superhero read is a fun twist on a society of villainy…or maybe anti heroes. The narration by Hays seemed a little annoying at first, but then I realized the voice is intentional as a first person perspective, I think he captured the character perfectly. There are some slow spots and some of the plot gets a little convoluted in the last half of the book. But don’t lose faith. The ending is great…with the exception of the fact that the second book is still on the way.
