There are some parts of the story that take me out of it. First, is this idea of building a whole town of villagers with a thriving community really the best plan for him to get revenge on his old clan? I mean, that’s kinda interesting, but if it was me, I’d give some more thought to the potential for him to become level 200 on his own without having to spend so much time to be the mayor of a town.

In fact, his plan really is to defend the whole town and not just defend himself as the only human player in it. Strange decision right off the top.

Then at some points, he unlocks a “trade hall” where he can trade with others. Why isn’t he using it much? Like, he wants a chair and a bed, so he builds a carpentry shop and creates a carpenter. Why not just buy a chair and a bed from the shop? It couldn’t cost that much.

All in all, this book is about world-building. If you like that, this is a rich world being slowly built. But part of me feels like the whole thing could have been avoided if he just went into the woods and leveled up non-stop. If his time is 12 times faster than human time, and he plays 18 hours per day, could he not have become max level in one month?

In the book he levels up pretty fast when he’s fighting. Like he gets 3 levels in one fight against some Oxnarians. He did a lot of things he didn’t need to do.

Still, liked the world-building part of the book and background characters actually grow and become better during the story. But if it was ME in that position, I would have avoided all the hassles the MC willingly took on.
