This was a very fluffy, lower angst, best friends to lovers story. We have librarian rep, a pl*yboy MC, epilepsy rep, roommates, and some cute chemistry. Quite a bit of care taking too, which is cute to see. Charlie does start out in a relationship with someone else, and we watch that relationship fall apart, which was satisfying and also check CWs for ableism. I also appreciated that there were some time jumps and showing progress with growing and whatnot.
Overall, a cute book. However, really not into seeing HP references in my romances. This one’s eBook was published before that author when on an awful spree in 2020, but the audiobook was released 2 years later in 2022, which is what I listened to. Just something to take note of and to protect yourself with in case that’s also tr*ggering.
