I’m not usually a fan of the zombie genre but this series kept me interested about 90% of the time that it was running. I did find book 7 a bit of a grind but book 8 picked up nicely. While some of the plot was a little predictable, there were some really nice surprises. The thing I found most enjoyable was the biplay between the two main characters and the fact the main characters wasn’t op. I guess I have to agree with the main sidekick in that the MCs surperpower would have to be a luck based build. While there were no stats, levels or any litrpg devices it more often than not sure seems like the MC was a luck based character. Seriously, hardcore paintball player who all of a sudden can’t hit a target 30 feet from the end of his rifle barrel? That’s like saying a toddler can’t touch the floor.
The narrator does a fairly decent job with the female voices and most excellent with the rest. No major editing issues made for a really good value for the price. I will be looking into more of this author’s works.
