This is a read that starts out very dark and slowly grows not-dark as it goes … big-picure wise. There are plenty of dark moments throughout. The author really took her time building the world and having the characters express themselves to the readers—this was very well done. She demonstrates even more skill her the way she weaves a plausible polyamory tale that doesn’t involve supernaturals.

All the while, our primary hero corrupts the heroine while she simultaneously tames him. Sounds like it doesn’t make sense, but if you’ve read it, you’ll likely know what I mean.

A fun, slow-burn, darkish read that turned me into an Ivy Fox fan. Will 100% read more from this author, based on this book. Well done.

Audio:

The audio was absolutely perfect and sounded like a full-cast, thanks to accents and using different voices for different characters, etc.

The production was professionally made with absolutely perfect sound quality.
