I had high hopes for this one after seeing so many great reviews on TT. From the very moment it started it was cringe. The story is a modern day beauty and the beast but there was no originality to it at all. There was soo much potential to this story but it felt so forced and like the thoughts were all jumbled. Read like the author couldn’t decide if it should be in today’s settings with phones cars and electronics or if it should take place hundreds of years ago. How can the MFC completely change her vocabulary to fit the beast’s kingdom? I loved when the story transformed into the 4 princes and they all had their own plots and stories and wished so badly that the story continued on that path but it went right back to the beauty and beast timeline and theme almost exactly. So much wasted potential.
