Some series start to lose steam after the first or second book. I’d wondered if this 3rd installment would be wrapping up a trilogy but we’re just getting into it. And yet it never drags. The plot moves consistently with a mix of action, steaminess, and plot twists. I’ll admit that I saw the plot twist in this one coming, but when it was finally revealed, it was still a powerful mix of heartbreaking and gratifying.
