The concept is fun and unique, the setting is complex and deep, the characters are engaging and well written. Matt Diniman has done an amazing job creating a story that grabs you and doesn’t let go from start to finish.
Experiencing the universe only a mentally disturbed person could come up with from the side character’s point of view, you are thrust into a gauntlet of violence and intrigue where Donut, assisted by her royal bodyguard Carl, must make their way through a completely new world where death waits around every turn.
While the story itself is incredibly well written, it is taken to new levels by Jeff Hay’s narrative skills. Fleshed out characters are given life by this Maestro of Voice Acting, and you’ll find yourself hanging on every word while folding your dirty laundry because you got so caught up in this world made real by Sound Booth Theater.
