Good book annoying narration

As the title says, the book itself is good. I normally like Jeffrey’s narration but in this book he has an affectation where his non-dialogue reading starts off at a normal time and volume, but EVERY SENTENCE end with the narrator almost whispering at a lower tone.

It’s almost as annoying as a person who ends every sentence with an upward inflection? Like everything they say is a question?

And I know kafer can narrate without this mode of speech. He’s done it before, and his dialogue is on point. But this time it made it hard to finish the books.
