I got this immediately after finishing the previous book because the hook really had me invested to crave even more of this wild writing.

I seriously feel like this book was even funnier then the first and made me audibly laugh out loud several times over all the absurdity.

Once again the writing is really well done and seriously paints an amazing picture of what’s going on.

Once again also there are a handful of low-brow jokes that will be highly offensive to some people but honestly nothing really felt mean spirited or gross enough for me. Any overly sexual moment was just smothered in dark humor that it did not feel at all like it was trying to be sexy and instead was more meant to deliver a disturbing joke. And yeah I loved it and didn’t mind. The first time encountering the call to a ‘Carl’, yeah probably one of those moments I bust out laughing over it’s unexpected weirdness.

Only downside I could say about this book was the plot I was expecting more from and it remained really aimless just like the first book did. I didn’t mind the first book being like this but two back to back books with this sort of plotless story telling maybe showed a touch of losing it’s appeal. Luckily the humor and absurd moments with these characters are completly distracting and enjoyable enough.

The ending also sorta sucked sorta kinda. I did not like the ending but the very end gave me some hope into the next book as it set up a plot really nicely that is teased to be in the next book, so hopefully something is done with that. I’m anxious still to dive back in and get more of this world.
