So, I’m leaving this review on book one so people know what they’re in for. The series does have some humor, and even a little heart. The author freaking loves torture though. Every book the main character gets tortured, every single book. Then, without spoilers, the author gives the main character something that allows him to be tortured EVEN MORE without as much worry about “how did he recover from that?”
Seriously, this author needs some help. If torture porn is what you’re looking for, by all means, read this series. If you’re a normal person who doesn’t like torture, stay far away.
Great narrator though. He does a wonderful job.
