Listening to the first book after seeing the reviews was somewhat decent though the story was moving at a glacial pace. it seemed like every five minutes I was just groaning at how stupid the protagonist was. But I kept on finished the first and was left slightly let down that he hadn’t yet at least reached the copper level. got into the second book slightly believeing we would see much more advancement only to see him reach copper and run into people 10x stronger that from the previous story.
The entire time he just keeps saying he wants a path while he is already making his own. then he acts like every person he meets is absolutely trustworthy and I just can’t keep going anymore. The guy literally spent the whole of book 1 being stepped on and now book 2 is much the same. it’s like he is making no progress.
