This is the first book in this series and the introduction to Earth and her customs for these young dragon and cat shifters from Qurilixen. Kyran, Finn, Ivar, and Rafe will be the first to go through the portal and the first to get human wives, one at a time. While they know a little about Earth, a very little, a scouting expedition might have been a good idea. When Eve wakes up with a somewhat odd hangover and discovers she is “married” to Prince Kyran, a dragon shifter, she expresses her displeasure with her situation and the unprepared trip the Princes made to Earth. There is a little humor, a bit of steam, and some danger. I like Kyran. He is determined to be the Prince and to learn how to cope with humans. Eve is a bit out of sorts, but warms up to Kyran and the experience. Let’s see what happens when Prince Rafe, a catshifter, goes looking for his mate. David Brenin did a good job with the narration.
