Voice actor was good working with bad material. MC goes from an old war vet to I consume humanoids while they scream at me so fast I legitimately thought the book was about an isekai serial killer lying to himself about his humanity hunting a victim who escaped him in a car wreck while petty gods play off his delusions to eliminate each others champions. The sentence I just wrote is 4000% more entertaining than the entire book + the start of the second book (yes I was fooled) keep your credits and money far away from this series and my spent credits will not have been waisted.
