This book was so good. I’ve seen Lily Morton recommended hundreds of times and have been excited to get one of her books. I was not disappointed and look forward to reading more of hers, especially Blue’s books now that I’ve been introduced to him. And to learn more about Will as well. I absolutely adored him. Who doesn’t love a gentle giant? Jem was wonderful for him. Able to read him well and fiercely protective. So precious to see. The ghost part of the story was engaging and interesting. I couldn’t wait for the mystery to be solved. I enjoyed this story so much, it was full of hilarious British snark and humor.

This is my first experience listening to Joel Leslie. I had mixed feelings about it. It took me awhile to take the voice he used seriously and understand it better. The main characters had the same voice. His inflection choices were…interesting. When I first started listening I was wondering if this was actually a historical book because of the voice he used. He did well separating other voices and I loved his voice of Blue.
