I will start out admitting that I absolutely adore the writing of Sheri Cobb South. The team of Cobb South and Froomkin is truly gold for my listening experience.
Lord Ramsey, Richard, is set on helping out his American cousin, Susannah by offering a marriage of convenience. It is super fun to hear the play between cousin Peter and Susannah and Jane and Richard. The staircase scene is hilarious! Susannah’s American culture clashes with her British cousins from the very start, but it never feels condescending on either part. It’s just pure delightful storytelling. Bravo!
Joel Froomkin has so much fun with this performance that the 6 hours fly by.
