Pros:
9 books 55 hours of listening time for a single credit. Anyone who likes tons of action will get all they can handle. There are a lot of great supporting characters with a wide range of personality and impact on the story. The narrator does an overall excellent job except for some times when it’s a little difficult to discern between characters.
Cons:
Out of 9 books maybe 5 were actually interesting. The action sequences tend to get extremely over descriptive to the point of monotony.
Horrible protagonist; Zed Zane is a petulant self-centered adrenaline junky with a hero-complex. There is zero character growth to the point of predictability. He refuses to go along with anything that’s not his idea to the point of either directly or indirectly destroying the safety of every group he comes across. Every time he starts to introspect and maybe learn from his mistakes he eventually says…”nah, eff it”.

Overall:
If you are looking for a lot of hours of mildly interesting listening that you never need to rewind because you probably didn’t miss any nuances this is perfect for you. It’s worth listening to the whole thing but I doubt anyone gives it a second go.
