Not sure what happened with this one….

I really enjoyed the first book but it feels like this one is written by a different person. The plot line is thin and the girlfriend is an unnecessary distraction. seriously they’re a . Also what happened to Captain Burke’s personality? In the first 2 books he was all about the team. He cared about them and there was a strong comradery between them. In this one he yelled and barked and scowled and demeaned his crew and they just took it. When any of them push back a little he loses it! He’s not able to have a conversation without exploding at the other person.

Burke said everything he did throughout the story was to save Earth but he just comes off as an asshole out for revenge with no regard for anyone around him.

I’m not sure about buying the next book. If the main character is written the same as in this book I will be dropping the series. It’s very disappointing because I love the Jackson Wolfe saga by this author.
