This was a very fun clash of cultures romance set in the 1800’s. It’s a fast read and great for those looking for clean regency romance with a touch of comedy. I really loved the Susannah’s character and felt for her as she struggled to fit into a very British high society life. My favorite scene was her interactions with the house’s French head chef… so funny!

I’m not sure what happened to the other reviewer who stated the ending was missing… I had no such problems, all the chapters where there with a fully concluded ending. I didn’t even notice any sound editing or other edit issues. If anything I did feel the end was a bit abrupt but only because I would have liked to see a little bit more.

The narrator does an incredible job with the characters voices, accents and the acting is all so seamless. It was fun to hear his Southern accent, he did a great job with it and didn’t overdue the southern as I feel others often make it a drawl and more bumkin then necessary.
