Listening to Chuck’s story I couldn’t help lamenting what a pathetic generation I live in. People like Chuck and his contemporaries – men and women alike – endured so much hardship and still found it in themselves to have a ball, and here we are in the most spoilt and Molly coddled living environment ever and people are at outraged and at each other’s throats for the most trivial and absurd reasons. Frankly, people are bored. What an exciting life Yeager lived and I found he was human and modest enough to admit that he had a whole lot of good fortune to go with his incredible pilot expertise. A fantastic way to spend a few hours…thank you!
