I loved this book! I was disappointed when this story ended, I was not ready for it to end yet. I am looking forward to the next story. Jolene has worked hard and intended to join the FBI behavioral unit. She was surprised when she learned her background check failed due to something in her childhood home town. She has always walked the straight and narrow, it must be a mistake! Her parents died when she was younger, and she inherited the home. So, she heads home to get this all straightened out. The town is a bit odd, with devastatingly hot guys , high birth rates, town folk not having a social media presence. Just what is up in this town? A couple of kitties and a harpy eagle seem to adopt Jolene. Overall, this book lays an excellent ground work for the next in a series. Narration was well done.
