This book is exceedinly well written and narrated. It is a true story which is very interesting and compelling to continue once started. The book moves pretty fast and does not contain a lot of fluff. It is about Randy Lanier’s life. He was a bad guy; a big time drug smuggler mostly dealing in marijuana. The book protrays him as not really that bad, and that marijuana is not really bad, that it is not a drug that leads to other drugs. That is not true. I know of drug addicts that started with marijuana and that is common accepted knowledge. Even in the book he says he did marijuana and then cocaine. The book sort of leads you to be “rooting” for this bad guy. However, he got caught and spent many years in prison as he deserved. Later, alledgedly, he repented for all this and became a good person. BUT it was too late for all the lives ruined. Still, i found the book very interesting and enlightning in some ways.
