Skip straight to at least chapter 18. I like the series overall, but the author is trying way too hard to show character growth. It was ok at the start of the series, but after every book he resets their growth just so they can go through the same growth again. Skipping to the point Frank does the trial will skip the worst of that. The rest of the story was meh. You can make all the silly things that happen make sense, but that doesn’t make it a good book. It does leave off at a good point that gives me hope for the next book.

I have always thought this series had a weak narrator, but combining 3 series worth of characters into 1 book really proves that. All of the characters are starting to sound the same.
