This story is wild and weird. It is a wonderful sci-fi take on basically incompatible romantic bonding. In a lot of ways it shows that the standard idea of physical coupling isn’t the only way. Love and intimacy can easily overcome mental and physical preconceptions.
I will say, this isn’t a casual listen because so much is strange about them and the world and the challenges. This book required my attention in order to keep up with the story and it was well worth it.
I also think the narration was pretty good. I was able to tell the difference between characters easily. Really did enjoy this audiobook.
