Finally. I made it to the end of book 5. Now I can be done with this series. I only kept listening because of the imagination of the author… and the fact that I already bought the dang series. Anyway:
Book 5 is better than 4 was. There was more world building. Newer characters were developed further; along with the established ones. But it once again delved into the realm of smut. 99% of it isn’t. So why force the 1% in like that. I lost interest in the story as each book progressed. There are a good amount of good qualities within the story. But it’s just not for me. I’m wondering if I can return 5 books at once.
There is truly zero replay value. Nothing in it is that memorable. Other than the diversity of areas and creatures/people. The author is trying to continue to strengthen the main antagonist into a quality villain. But I’ve no interest in picking the next book up. I shouldn’t be glad when I reach the end of the story. It should leave me wanting more. I do not.
