This audiobook was quite a surprise. A young woman from a disadvantaged background escapes to the city for college and discovers a non-traditional way to support herself. This becomes complicated when she finds a man who makes her feel and with whom she has overwhelming chemistry. She struggles to balance demands from her past, demands of her heart, and of the life she has been living while attending college. As she starts looking at life after college, she has a big choice to make between something “normal” and the life to which she has become accustomed. Listening to this audiobook as this couple.takes the journey which would forever change their world was fraught with emotion and confusion. Both the hero and heroine of this story are presented as flawed human beings with their own struggles and insecurities, making them believable. The narrator did a good job of differentiating from the hero and heroine’s voice during their POV chapters. I recommend giving this book a listen.
