The author seems to have hit his stride here. The story arc is a good one with turns and twists. Again his stats-to-story ratio is fantastic. He doesn’t waste time with constant stats; he only posts relevant ones. The characters are well-written, and none are above biting the big one. My main complaint is that the bad guys are excessively stupid. I’m in a room with twenty people pointing guns at me, and I’m going to cop an attitude and then take out a gun and try to kill one of the main characters. The bad guys seem very similar. I’m starting to wonder if the author is resurrecting the same guy to see if he will learn his lesson. Well worth a read, and I’m off to read book three.
