So far, this series has a great deal of world-building, which isn’t a bad thing; there is plenty of action, and it is a fun read. The author likes to drop some funny easter eggs for us nerds. I would like to see some intelligent people besides the main group. Other stronghold leaders have taken an overdose of stupid pills. I also think the main character should get some kevlar—maybe a full kevlar wrap. The story has plenty of action. The main isn’t so overpowered that he one-shots mega bosses regularly. One thing I find very refreshing is that the author doesn’t constantly put up stats. Instead, he uses them when they’re relevant to the story. Too many Litrpg writers have a little story with their stats. This book and series so far are well worth the listen. I was going to download book 4 but just discovered that it and all others in this series will not be converted to audio.
