Kind of neat how the jack-of-all-trades MC brings “new” ideas to the front. Not a lot of adventure or excitement. An interesting concept of how the clipper ship could one day translate to interstellar trade, but where are my space pirates? (jk but only a little)
Seems like this is building up to something, but if it takes a whole second book before he even gets to a full share, I’m not sure aim patient enough to wait through it.
Jeffrey Kafer did great with the narration. I had no issues telling the characters apart, and the tone was engaging and kept my interest. Even the stronger accents he chose were understandable at 1.35x.
